about

The song “Driving To You” by “The Brute :” is a four-minute road trip. You just want to turn up the radio and enjoy the road. Energetically carried by a catchy guitar riff, which clearly places the title as a mixture between classic rock and electro pop, the track comes up with a driving synth groove and a hook line that everyone just wants to sing along to. The song itself is about the search for oneself. The text is ambiguous in its interpretation: Who is the driving force? A woman, a higher power or ...?
The accompanying video shows excerpts from the music film "Momentum To Die". Consequently, “Driving To You” forms one of the main musical themes of the soundtrack, which takes up melodies and sounds from the debut album “Brute : One”. Everything is re-arranged in a mix of cinematic orchestra, dark, sometimes gloomy electronic and industrial sounds for a 20-minute audio journey back to the heyday of spy movies.

Originally only intended as short sequences for the planned music video for the song "Driving To You", the studio recordings had been expanded spontaneously and scenes were also filmed for the video for the single "Lonesome Hero".Finally, the music film "Momentum To Die" emerges from this undertaking.

Staged in the style of old spy movies from the 60s and 70s, there is a car chase with an Aston Martin in the Swiss mountains, a hero, a villain and of course a woman to be rescued, played by "Kimia Kiser-Chengizi", a Swiss-Iranian model.
When the original film sets of the James Bond classic “Goldfinger” were filmed as the villain's secret hideout for the showdown, even the Swiss Army supported the project! They allowed the entire crew to film in one of their mountain fortresses, the Sasso San Gotthard.
The planned four minutes, filled with scenes with a high recognition value, turned into a 20-minute music movie as an homage to classics of the spy movie genre. The whole thing was so much fun for Daniel and Hilmar Sandführ, who played the villain, that they are already considering continuing the idea on the next album.
